Preschool Autism Day Treatment: Our Autism Day Treatment Program is an intensive day treatment service for preschool children (ages 2-6) diagnosed with autism or other neurodevelopment disorder, aimed at improving social communication, emotional regulation, and interpersonal interaction.

Clients attend the program daily to receive relationship-based group therapy, as well as speech and occupational therapy. All therapies are integrated and work collaboratively within the treatment classroom. Mental health therapists utilize the SCERTS treatment framework as well as the Greenspan Floortime intervention models. Families in the program receive a variety of family support services, including in-home family therapy.

Therapeutic Recreation:  Therapeutic Recreation interns are a critical part of our TR team and are actively involved in all programing. Working alongside Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists, interns learn to support, then plan and facilitate therapeutic interventions that target social and emotional development. Interns learn to create individualized goals and plans, and assist in refining program procedures and administrative duties to enhance the quality of services for clients, families, and staff.

Successful interns are proactive learners, able to take direction and work as a team member. Interns must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, physically active community setting.

This Internship is developed to meet the standards and expectations of Therapeutic Recreation Majors and the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC). Therapeutic Recreation majors are preferred; however, we will consider other degrees (e.g. Psychology, Special Education, etc.). *Two letters of recommendation are required upon interview.
