pediatric therapies

St. David’s Center for Child & Family Development is a leading provider of early childhood education for children of all abilities, children’s mental health and pediatric therapies, and home- and community-based support for children, youth, and adults who have faced adversity and trauma and/or who live with developmental, physical, cognitive, and/or behavioral delays or disabilities.

Together with families and community partners, St. David’s Center prepares children for success in school; builds skills; improves mental health; strengthens parent/caregiver-child relationships; and builds capacity for caregivers to support children with challenging needs. We reach over 4,300 children and families annually across the Twin Cities metro, in our two centers in Minneapolis and Minnetonka, in 30 partner sites, and in well over 1,000 homes.

As a result of the mission and work of St. David’s Center:

Young children of all abilities will be well prepared for learning and life through access to developmentally-informed, emotionally-responsive early childhood education.

Children with developmental needs will have improved outcomes as a result of early intervention and treatment.

Children, adolescents, and adults with enduring special needs will thrive in their homes and communities through access to developmentally-informed support services.

Together with families, community partners and other stakeholders, St. David’s Center will build communities that support healthy relationships and development.

St. David’s Center now serves over 4,000 children, teens, and young adults annually, with a particular focus on at-risk populations.

St. David’s Center was founded 60 years ago. Although no longer affiliated with the church, we retain the St. David’s name to honor our community heritage. Formerly known as St. David’s Child Development & Family Services, we changed our name to St. David’s Center for Child & Family Development in 2009 to better reflect our position as a center for leadership in child and family development. We continue our mission to build relationships that nurture every child and family.
