St. David’s Center for Child & Family Development is a leading provider of early childhood education for children of all abilities, children’s mental health and pediatric therapies, and home- and community-based support for children, youth, and adults who have faced adversity and trauma and/or who live with developmental, physical, cognitive, and/or behavioral delays or disabilities.
Together with families and community partners, St. David’s Center prepares children for success in school; builds skills; improves mental health; strengthens parent/caregiver-child relationships; and builds capacity for caregivers to support children with challenging needs. We reach over 4,300 children and families annually across the Twin Cities metro, in our two centers in Minneapolis and Minnetonka, in 30 partner sites, and in well over 1,000 homes.
Building relationships that nurture the development of every child and family.
Our community programs include school-linked mental health therapy in the Hopkins, Robbinsdale, and Osseo School Districts, an Autism Day Treatment Program for East African children in Minneapolis, Early Childhood Home Visiting, In-Home Mental Health Services, and Therapeutic Recreation programs for teens and young adults among others. At St. David’s Center, relationships are more than a benefit—they are the foundation for our work.

St. David’s Center was founded 60 years ago. Although no longer affiliated with the church, we retain the St. David’s name to honor our community heritage. Formerly known as St. David’s Child Development & Family Services, we changed our name to St. David’s Center for Child & Family Development in 2009 to better reflect our position as a center for leadership in child and family development. We continue our mission to build relationships that nurture every child and family.
