The conclusion of the 2022 legislative session resulted in some positive investments and policy changes for children and family services including children’s mental health, thanks to the efforts of key advocacy groups, increasing understanding of implications of not addressing children’s mental health among our legislators and policymakers, and your calls and emails!

AspireMN, one of the key advocacy groups of which St. David’s Center is a member, produced this summary of progress made.

Unfortunately, the 2022 session yielded few results despite unprecedented surplus resources combined with unprecedented needs facing Minnesota communities. We have our work cut out for us in the upcoming 2023 session, and will rely on your help once again. We will invite you to advocate on our behalf within the first quarter of the new year.

In the meantime, get to know your legislators! Find who represents you here.
