What to expect from your Navigator

1. Provide you with information about services at St. David’s Center.

Maybe you’re looking for a high-quality Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool or for pediatric therapies for a child affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. Maybe you’re wondering if your child’s behavior is typical. When you call CORE, your Navigator will provide you with information about the services and programs that may be right for your family.

2. Coordinate and collect required intake information.

When you contact CORE, your Navigator will ask for your child’s:

  • age
  • diagnosis (as appropriate)
  • insurance or payment information

Your Navigator will provide you with other forms and documents as needed and guide you through them. Applications for preschool and selected additional forms are available online.

No diagnosis, but still wondering about services?

Your Navigator will help set up assessments and evaluations.

Match your family’s needs with the appropriate services.

Based on your intake information and the services offered here at St. David’s Center, your Navigator will recommend the most appropriate programs and services for your child and family.

Navigate insurance or other payment options and benefits.

Insurance and health care funding can be complex. Your Navigator will help guide you through the process from paperwork to payments.

3. Schedule all evaluation/assessment appointments and ongoing clinical appointments.

From your child’s first assessment to receiving ongoing services, your Navigator will serve as a liaison by scheduling appointments.

4. Collaborate effectively with internal and external parties to ensure the most comprehensive care.

Providing the best care for your child and family can be multifaceted, and your Navigator will work with you and other entities to ensure your family’s needs are being met.

5. Serve as a resource for your family.

When you don’t know who to ask, you can always turn to your CORE Navigator. You Navigator is there to be a resource for you and your family throughout your journey. You belong here.
