Dear Families, We want to inform you of an incident that occurred this afternoon at our Minnetonka campus. Overview Shortly after 4:00 p.m. today, there was an incident with a client that resulted in one of our glass security doors breaking. Out of an abundance of caution, Minnetonka Police and Fire were dispatched to ensure St. David’s Center had additional support if needed. Our Response As soon as the disruption began, our Crisis Management Team (CMT) was called to action. The CMT cordoned off broken glass and made sure clients could enter and exit safely. We understand that seeing or hearing about police or fire department presence can be alarming. All our protocols performed just as they should, with staff immediately jumping to action. The client involved is safe and uninjured. To all families who were onsite during this time today, thank you for your patience. We apologize for any disruption to your pick-up or drop-off process. We will have the door repaired as soon as possible and, in the meantime, it will be boarded up. Sincerely, Jayson Palm Director of Facilities and Risk Management
