About Renovation

Building expansion 2015

Happening Now

For more than 50 years, St. David's Center has been dedicated to the development of every child

The second and final phase of the $13.7 million renovation and expansion of our 94 year-old building is underway.

Our goal is to build a state-of-the-art early childhood, early intervention treatment and training center.

Phase 2 (2015) of renovation will:

check markEnlarge the existing building by 6,800 square feet

Why? An enlarged building will help us meet the needs of high quality preschool and child care and pediatric assessment, therapy and intervention services.

check markExpand the Pediatric Therapy Clinic

  • Add therapy and assessment spaces
  • Renovate speech and music therapy rooms
  • Renovate lobby and waiting area

Why? This expansion will serve the developmental needs of more children and families who access our center and create a positive and confidential client experience.

check markEnlarge 12 classrooms for preschool and mental health day treatment

Why? The calming, light-filled classrooms will reflect best practices in inclusive early childhood education and Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum.

check markAdd a new, natural playground and boardwalk integrated into our 2.5 acre DNR-registered School Forest

Why? The new outdoor space will maximize and preserve the unique aspects of our campus’ natural setting while providing opportunities to incorporate the outdoors as part of education and therapy.
