Coping With Parenting Stress

Please join us for an information session that will help you…
• Identify the typical stressors of parenthood, reflect on what s tressors are primary for
you in parenting, and learn ways to decrease parenting stress.
• Explore mothering and fathering behavior in your home and ident ify the biochemical
reactions and hormone changes that trigger various parenting be haviors and anxieties.
• Enjoy a supportive and nonjudgmental environment that will allo w you time to think
about yourself, your children and your family.
Presented by:
Laura Brinkmeier, EdM, PsyD, LP is a child psychologist at St.
David’s Center. She has been working with children and families in
various capacities for 15 years. She holds a master’s degree (EdM)
in Risk and Prevention in Childhood from Harvard Graduate School
of Education, and a doctorate in counseling psychology (PsyD) with a
concentration in the area of children and families from the University
of St. Thomas.
