St. David's Center Lobby
Re-Opening

Search

Dear Parents,

After two years of limited access to our lobby and treatment spaces, we are excited to re-open the doors of our Minnetonka campus!  Effective Monday, April 18, you will have opportunities to engage in ways that haven’t been possible under our current guidelines.

We know the important role parents play in their children’s health and development, so engaging and collaborating with parents is very often critical to our work. In the coming days, your child’s therapist will communicate the specifics of what this kind of collaboration might look like for your family.

For now, here is the information you need to know:

For parents who bring their children to services at our Minnetonka location including Autism Day Treatment (Preschool and School-Age), Family Place, Children’s Mental Health, Intensive Family Mental Health, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy:

  • Starting Monday, our lobby will be open, and we will no longer use curbside pick-up or drop-off for check-in.
  • For day treatment, enter our main doors, use your code to access the hallway your classroom is in, and bring your children to the classroom.
  • For outpatient clinic services such as mental health and pediatric therapy:
    • At your child’s first visit following the building re-open, enter our main doors, and check in at the front desk. The receptionist will notify your provider that you have arrived.
    • After the first visit, you do not need to check in at the front desk. Instead, proceed directly to the lobby, where your therapist will meet you.
    • Your child’s therapist will speak with you directly about your involvement in or observation of therapy sessions.
    • When joining the session is not advised, you may wait in the lobby. You may be asked by your provider to discuss treatment either in the lobby or a consult room. If you need to bring other children, we have toys and books available.
    • We ask that you refrain from bringing food and beverages other than water into the lobby and our treatment rooms.

For parents who use medical transportation and only access day treatment services, this change in our COVID Preparedness Plan will only affect your experience if you attend an appointment with one of our staff.

We continue to be available for questions, as is your child’s therapist. Don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you very much for your collaboration, and we look forward to seeing you!
