The Harman Center Lobby
Re-Opening

Search

Dear Parents,

After two years of limited access to our lobby and treatment spaces, we are excited to re-open the doors of the Harman Center!  Effective Monday, April 18, you will have opportunities to engage with your child’s therapist or therapy team in ways that haven’t been possible under our current guidelines.

We know the important role parents play in their children’s health and development, so engaging and collaborating with parents is often critical to our work. In the coming days, your child’s therapist will communicate the specifics of what this kind of collaboration might look like for your family.  Feel free to direct any questions you might have to them.

Following are the changes you can expect:

Pick-up, Drop-off, and Check-in:

  • Starting Monday, our lobby will be open, and we will no longer use curbside pick-up or drop-off for check-in. We may have some special circumstances when a more child-specific plan needs to be in place. Feel free to speak to your child’s therapist if this applies to you.
  • When you bring your child to a therapy session, bring them into the lobby, and check in with the front desk. The front desk will then notify your provider that you have arrived.
  • We will continue to use curbside pick-up and drop-off for children in day treatment who arrive via medical transportation.

Parent/Caregiver Participation and Lobby Use:

  • Starting Monday, we will no longer limit the number of parents or family members allowed in the building.
  • If you’re currently regularly involved in your child’s sessions, that will continue. If you need space to wait for your child to complete sessions, our lobby is available to you. There are toys and books if you have other children with you.
  • Again, your child’s therapist will speak with you directly about your involvement in or observation of therapy sessions.

We continue to be available for questions, as is your child’s therapist. Don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you very much for your collaboration, and we look forward to seeing you!
