Bring your family and friends to celebrate the beautiful Minnesota fall, as you play and grow together with your community.
Every year, St. David’s surrounds more than 8,000 children and families with the support they need to thrive—from early childhood education and pediatric therapies to autism treatment, mental health care, and in-home services.
The Get Out and Grow Festival is one way we celebrate what we know to be true: when families step outside—together—healing, growth, and connection follow. This event is designed to lift up the importance of mental well-being through shared moments in nature, with neighbors, friends, and family.
We see it every day—and the research backs it up: time spent outdoors helps kids feel calmer, think more clearly, and tune into the wonder of the world around them.

The annual Get Out and Grow Festival is intended to raise awareness around the importance of prioritizing your mental health and overall wellbeing by spending time with family, friends, and the community, while exploring the world outside your door.
St. David’s Center has been committed to supporting parents and families on their path for more than sixty years. Meeting families where they are, we serve children and adults facing a variety of concerns and challenges in our clinics, day treatment settings, and in their homes, schools, and community settings.
We know that healthy development depends on the quality of the relationship children have with their parents and caregivers. Our therapists and caregivers provide children and families with a strong foundation—giving them tools in their toolbox—to navigate challenges and thrive in their daily lives.
But this work is not possible without the support and generosity of friends. St. David’s Center is committed to serving all families, which is only possible with philanthropic support.
Your gift—of any size—helps fill the gap created by poor reimbursement rates.

These events will draw approximately 1,000 participants total to our two celebrations. Families and children of all ages and abilities will be able to get outside in a location close to them where they can have a wonderful time at an accessible fall festival to make memories and play and grow together. This event includes family-friendly activities, such as a petting zoo, arts and activities, and sensory-friendly games.
Research tells us — and we see the positive effects firsthand — that a child who spends time outside experiences better mental health outcomes, has increased cognitive functioning, feels less stressed, and learns the wonders of nature.
