Therapeutic Foster Care
Long-term, out-of-home care for children in a home based setting.
Providing long-term, out-of-home care for children in a home-based setting.
This program is for children ages birth to 18 who have been removed from their homes by county child protection and whose needs can best be met in a more structured, safe environment.
We serve children with special needs in areas of developmental disabilities, physical limitations, medical conditions, emotional or behavioral disorders, or a combination of conditions. Placements typically last six months to one year, depending on the age of the child and other factors.
Children in this program are carefully matched with foster care providers that are trained, experienced, and licensed by the state of Minnesota. Foster care providers are responsible for participating in the case plan with the team to make the child’s experience comfortable, safe and consistent.
