Our 13th Annual Get Out and Grow Fall Festival & Walk n’ Roll celebrates the great outdoors and a family’s place in it! This event draws more than 1,000 participants of all ages and abilities to our campus, which includes 2.5 acres of DNR-designated wetlands and a School Forest.
The event will kick off with the inclusive Walk n’ Roll followed by the Festival that will feature up-close encounters with animals and, nature as well as interactive art, music, and sensory friendly activities.

Who can attend the Get Out and Grow Fall Festival?
Anyone can attend! The event is open to all and it is FREE!
What can my family expect to experience the day of the event?
The event features fun activities that encourages families to “Get Out and Grow” in the great outdoors. More specific details can be found in our social story found here.
Is the Get Out and Grow Fall Festival Sensory Friendly?
Yes. We make every effort to make our event friendly and welcoming to all. We offer headphones, regulation space and lots of nature based activities.
What is the cost to attend?
The admission and all activities are FREE!
Are there food and drinks available during the event?
Yes. Birchwood Café and Cream & Amber will be onsite selling food and beverages throughout the event. Children can also receive a free lunch provided by Station Pizzeria. Water stations will be available.
Can I bring my pet?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at the event although therapy animals are always welcome. Please note that there will be other animals onsite as part of our activities.
Where do I park?
Accessible and limited standard parking is available on the festival grounds. When grounds parking is full, families will be asked to utilize our remote parking at Mill’s Church and St. David’s Church.
I use a wheelchair or other mobility device. Can I easily attend the event?
Yes! We have accessible parking available on our grounds and the event is held on concrete. All areas of the event are accessible by mobility devices.
Is the event held in inclement weather?
The festival is a rain or shine event. In the event of severe weather, we will move as many components of the event inside as possible. If we do need to cancel, notifications will be placed on our website and Facebook page.
