St. David’s Center Foster Care services provide stable home environments for individuals who have experienced trauma or abuse or have emotional, behavioral, physical or other developmental needs.
Types of Foster Homes
We license four types of foster homes:
- Respite Foster Care
Respite care for parents raising children with special needs.
- Therapeutic Foster Care
Long-term, out-of-home care in a home-based setting for children with special needs.
- Treatment Foster Care Oregon (formerly called MTFC)
Supports and treats children with significant mental health and behavioral challenges.
- Shelter Foster Care
Emergency shelter placements of youth up to age 18 with a variety of behavioral and/or developmental needs.
Our foster care team works in conjunction with county social workers, foster parents and the child’s family to tailor services aimed at providing strong family relationships, nurturing home environments and the best outcomes for each child.
