Mental Health Skills Training

Mental Health Skills Training at St. David's Center supports and treats children and adolescents between the ages of 4 and 18 who have mental health diagnoses that impact their ability to be functional in everyday life.

Trained mental health practitioners work with clients on individualized treatment goals that focus on the child's unique social, emotional and behavioral needs. Goals may include improved self-regulation, problem solving, coping strategies and social skills. Collaboration with a parent or guardian is a key aspect of this program.

Services can be provided in the client's home, at St. David's Center, or at another location in your community.

Payment/Funding

This program is funded through Medical Assistance, Tefra or Medical Assistance PMAPs (we currently work with Medica, UCare and MHP). Recipients also may be authorized for service through Hennepin County Mental Health Services.
