Regarding the Application Process

 

Before Beginning the Application Process:

Q: Where can I find out about current opportunities with St. David’s Center?

A: All of our open positions are posted to our online job board. When applying for a position through our job board, you may elect to receive email notifications regarding future opportunities related to your career interests.

Q: What qualifications must I possess to apply for a position with St. David’s Center?

A: Qualifications vary based on position. Specific requirements related to education, experience, skills, and licensure will be posted with each position. Please make sure you meet ALL of the posted qualification requirements before beginning the application process.

Q: How can I be considered for a position with St. David’s Center?

A: In order to be considered for a position with us, please submit an online application and include your resume and cover letter, if applicable. We are unable to consider your candidacy until a formal application has been submitted.

Q: Can I submit a general application if there is not a current opportunity that aligns with my interest?

A: Due to the volume of applications we receive, we are unable to accept general applications at this time.

Q: Do you accept paper applications?

A: Online applications can be reviewed and processed in a more efficient manner than paper applications. Therefore, we ask that candidates only utilize a paper application if they must due to a disability or lack of computer access (online applications are best viewed via Internet Explorer or Chrome browsers). Paper applications are available at the front desks of our Minnetonka and St. Louis Park offices.

Q: If I have questions regarding a position, can I speak with a recruiter before applying?

A: Due to the volume of inquiries we receive, it is not possible for our recruiters to answer general questions regarding our positions. We ask that candidates review a job posting thoroughly and visit our website for additional information about our programs. If specific questions remain unanswered, please email recruiting@stdavidscenter.org and we will do our best to respond in a timely matter.

Q: I am a former St. David’s Center employee. Do I need to submit an online application to be considered for a position?

A: Yes, please submit an application through our online system for your position of interest.

Q: I am a current St. David’s Center employee who is interested in a different position. Do I need to submit an online application or can I just inform the hiring manager or Human Resources team that I am interested?

A: Current employees must submit an online application to be considered for an alternate position. We also ask that employees inform their current supervisor about their interest in the position before applying. In addition to the online application, feel free to inform Human Resources and/or the hiring manager of your interest in the position.

 

During the Application Process:

Q: How do I begin the online application process?

A: On the job posting page, select the Submit your Application button. You will then be prompted to create a username (an existing email address) and password. If you do not have an existing email address, you may click the link to create an Outlook email address. Be sure to enter login information you will remember as this will be the only way to access your application material for future reference. *The online application system is best viewed in Internet Explorer or Chrome browsers.

Q: Can I upload a resume and/or cover letter with my application?

A: Yes, you will be prompted to upload a resume at the beginning of the application process. Alternately, you may also copy and paste a plain text (free of formatting) version of your resume. The latter option will pull portions of your personal information (i.e. name, address, etc.) from your resume and auto-fill it into your application. If you do not have a resume, please enter “N/A” in the resume field. You will also have the opportunity to upload formatted resume and cover letter attachments at the end of the application process.  

Q: How do I submit my application once I’ve completed it?

A: There is a submit button at the bottom of each page of the application. Once you have uploaded your resume and completed all of the required fields, hit the submit button.

 

After Completing the Application Process:

Q: How do I know if my application was received?

A: After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation message thanking you for applying. In addition, you will receive an email confirmation from stdavidscenter.staffing@recruitingcenter.net. If you do not see the confirmation email, please check your Spam folder and add us to your address book.

Q: Can I apply for more than one position at a time?

A: Yes; to be considered for additional positions, simply login using your username and password and update your application materials accordingly. Be sure to click the save button after making any updates. Please note: we prefer you limit your applications to your top three positions.  

Q: I’ve submitted my application but have not heard from a recruiter or hiring manager. What should I do?

A: Although we strive to provide all candidates with email updates regarding their candidacy, we are not always able to personally follow up with every applicant. If we feel your qualifications are a good match for the position, we will do our best to contact you within a week or two.

Q: Can I make changes to my application once I’ve already submitted it?

A: Yes. Simply log on using your existing username and password, make your edits, and click submit.

Q: I forgot my password. How do I get a password reminder?

A: Click the password reminder button that appears under the Previous Visitor section of our Current Opportunities page.

Q: How long does the recruitment process typically take?

A: Our recruitment process varies from position to position. Typically, the process takes between three to five weeks. Please check your email and voicemail often for interview requests or position updates.
