Intervening Early for the Best Returns
Today, more families than ever are facing critical challenges such as job loss, mental health issues and other stressors that can lead to poor developmental outcomes in children. There is growing need for early intervention and home visiting services that provide resources, support and therapy to children and parents that help stabilize home environments and develop necessary skills.
Your gifts to St. David's Center directly support children and families most in need of care - children like Vincent who as a young preschooler was struggling on his path to school readiness due to circumstances beyond his control.
"I didn't know where to turn. Once St. David's Center came into our lives, it was such a sense of relief. My wish would be for everyone who has a child like Vincent to find St. David's Center. They made such a difference." - Tonya, Vincent's mother.
Vincent joined the Family Place Preschool Day Treatment program and home visiting became a critical part of assessing his needs. Now a thriving kindergartener, Vincent and his family received services during a critical time that made a big difference in his development.
Because of the generous support we receive, St. David's Center is able to make a tremendous impact on those children and families who are most vulnerable within our community. Through our focus on early intervention and engagement with families like Vincent's, St. David's Center works to repair the impact of trauma so children can form healthy relationships with teachers and peers in a preschool setting -- to lay the foundation for success in school and in the community.
Read more about Vincent or watch the courageous story about how his family has been impacted by St. David's Center early intervention services.
