Encouragement is the power tool of parenting. Learn how to think about discipline in a different way by using praise and encouragement to build your child’s self-esteem. Explore new ways to listen and talk about feelings, and tune into your child’s behavior. St. David’s Center Occupational Therapist Faith Mianulli, OTR/L, presents a mini-course in Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP) to help parents and caregivers better understand the underlying causes of misbehavior, and learn new ways to encourage cooperation in your child.
