Employment Opportunities
Autism Support Services Practitioner
We are looking for Autism Support Services Practitioners to work with our clients on the Autism spectrum. This position offers:
- Opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills in Autism Spectrum disorders
- The chance to make a significant difference in the life of a child on the Autism spectrum and address his/her unique needs
- Rewarding field work with a monthly opportunity to collaborative with a multi-disciplinary team
The Practitioner works one-on-one with a child with an Autism spectrum disorder. You'll learn about Autism interventions and strategies for improving learning opportunities, implement goals and objectives identified in the child's individualized intervention plan, identify skills to be taught, and make critical instructional decisions. In addition, you'll collaborate and communicate with the child's family and the Care Management Team and implement intervention plans, discuss the child's progress and future goals as well as participate in requested group meetings.
Clients receive services 5-10 hours per week, usually after school and weekend hours.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences required with 1000 hours experience working with special needs children
- Experience with children and Autism Spectrum Disorders required
- In-home experience preferred
- Must have own vehicle and valid drivers license
- Pass required background checks
- Commit for more than 6 months
